The Cerebos Salt van joined the range in 1982 and it had a light blue body with a black chassis.

During 1982, whilst the Cerebos Salt Van was being produced, one of the Matchbox Toys Limited employees made the delightful mistake of attaching the yellow roof and rear lights of the Birds Custard Powder Y12 Model "T" Ford to the bodies of the Cerebos Salt Model "T" Ford Van. Consequently a very short run of yellow roofed Cerebos Salt Vans were manufactured, assembled and distributed from the Matchbox Factory. In fact some collectors believe that only 500 such yellow roofed Salt Vans were ever produced.

Variations/Rarities: It is commonly found with a white roof but issues released with yellow roofs are known and are rare.
It had a gold or chrome plated radiator and windscreen frame.
It had black seats but the hard to find issue with tan seats has been found.
It had red, chrome or gold 12 spoke wheels
It had white ornate type 2 rear doors.

Yellow roofs are rare but beware of fakes that have had the roof swapped over with the roof taken from the Bird's Custard issue.
